The Snow Table

Installation room size, table 100*80 cm, snowballs 10*10 cm, 2015

I used personal photographs found on the internet that soldiers from the Saluki Battle in Lebanon took before the battle began. I inserted the photos into readymade snowballs, and displayed them on a table. I had created a textured surface on the tabletop, covering it with fake moss, sand and pigments, creating a special environment for these snowballs. In addition, I wrote and displayed a text about the origin of the table, a story connected to my childhood friend and her father. The work explores the phenomenon of collective memory. For the  story of the history of the table click here

This work was exhibited "It is more interesting to look backwards" at  Hansen Gallery Bezalel, Jerusalem. And was produced with the support of Resisim association. Curators text Hadas Glazer on the work click here
