Mary Taking Over My Life
Installation of photos and text that perform as an "evidence wall".
In 2007, a girl rented my flat in Jerusalem while I was part of an exchange with The Slade School of Art in London. She arrived in my flat one day after I left, so we never met. We emailed each other regarding the logistical issues and everything was sorted out easily. At some point, I understood from the emails and photos she sent me that she was beginning to take over my life at home and I did not like it at all. I hung the emails and photos of her on my studio wall at Slade. It became an “evidence wall” and developed into an art project.
